Paul du Toit
B.Sc.(Physio) Grad.Dip.Manip.Ther
Paul du Toit is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and has been a director of Noosa Physiotherapy Centre since 2003.
He has also worked
in South Africa, New Zealand and the UK. Paul has a special interest in
spinal dysfunction and in particular the management of acute injuries. He
utilises gentle osteopathic techniques to improve joint movement, in
conjunction with specific exercise therapy to stabilize and protect the
injured area.
These techniques are particularly successful for headaches,
whiplash injuries, acute wry necks, acute lumbar disc injuries, sciatica and
lumbo-pelvic dysfunction. Paul also has a special interest in the
management of tempero-mandibular dysfunction (aka jaw pain) and its
association with the suboccipital spine. While in New Zealand, Paul worked
as the company physiotherapist for Sealords, which is one of the largest
fish processing plants in the Southern Hemisphere. This has given him a
good understanding of the importance of early intervention to prevent
chronicity and prolonged time off work. |
